| Dear Avallac'h,
I apologize for our fight during our last quest. I feared you had succumbed to the corruption of that red creature and did not want you doing something that you would regret later. Greth is a valuable asset to the guild with a wealth of knowledge about this region and ability to locate powerful artifacts such as the Radiant items - killing Greth would have been a tremendous waste of a useful ally. I hope that even you can see the reason in that. We would not have even located the first Radiant artifacts without him, and we certainly would not have any leads on additional ones without him. I implore you to weigh the pros and cons of these decisions more in the future. I would also suggest clarifying the exact magical properties of the items being offered before agreeing to any payment. I have yet to see you use that Embersoul Cloak of yours that you had purchased previously - doesn't that make you wonder if this magical orb might have similar distasteful side effects? Again, I am simply trying to appeal to your skills of reasoning and request more forethought in the future. I am not suggesting that you should never accept one of these offers - it would be hypocritical of me. All that I ask is that when offered a similar proposition in the future, to consider who is the least valuable asset. If some other... less useful faction members had been there with us, I perhaps may have lent you a hand... Think on this. Sincere Regards, Maerilith |
