It is a permanent portal and while there are still ways to get back to the other side from this one, the portal itself is one-way only allowing things and people to come through to Sunholm but not allowing Sunholm to send anything back through it. This is how most adventurers join the guild and begin their new adventure trying to make a name for themselves. This portal is the exit of a interdimensional rift. It is a permanent portal and while there are still ways to get back to the other side from this one, the portal itself is one-way only allowing things and people to come through to Sunholm but not allowing Sunholm to send anything back through it. This is how most adventurers join the guild and begin their new adventure trying to make a name for themselves. The Guild does have a weekly process to send letters and other communications back to the other side, this is how quest logs, status reports, supply requestions, and letters home get delivered.
